A Collaboration between Hay Day and a handful of Instagram influencers to create hybrid live action/animated skits. Alongside a team of a couple other animators and designers, we created a handful of animated characters to overlay on top of live action footage, some animated titles, and some additional short animations for their social media page.

Part of my role was to figure how the character rigs would work, since the complex character animation the client was asking for can be a bit awkward to achieve in After Effects. We settled on a combination of Default AE tools and puppet pins, and some limited use of Duik for for more complex parenting. I've used the same method on a few projects since, and I've found it's a comfortable compromise between posing flexibility and ease of use.

I did all the animation in the first two videos, and all but the last shots in the latter two, which were both animated by Joe Andriola.
